Lubbers Logistics BV and SR Group AS sign partnership agreement - 08/09/2015

Lubbers Logistics BV and SR Group AS sign partnership agreement

Lubbers Logistics BV and SR Group AS, both international logistics specialists for the upstream oil and gas industry, have strengthened its European network by signing a partnership agreement.

Having worked together for many years, the two companies decided to officially formalise the partnership as an assurance to existing and new customers of the quality services that both companies already offer.

Steffan Christensen, sales director Nordic for Lubbers Logistics commented: “We are delighted to have signed a formal partnership agreement with SR Group given the close relationship we have built over the last few years, it was the natural next step for us.”

“The partnership agreement further marks the next step in our logistics solutions between Norway and the UK in line with customer demands.”

Kjetil Njærheim, strategic relations at SR Group, continued: "The joint operation with Lubbers has increased our scope of services and enabled SR Group to provide an even higher flexibility and capability to our European logistics concept. More importantly, our joint service is one of the most cost efficient transportation solutions on the market, resulting in direct value to our customers.”

The partnership comes at an exciting time, as Lubbers Logistics recently expanded its geographical coverage with a new facility in Turkey, as well as doubling the size of its Aberdeen facilities.

At the same time, SR Group continues to expand its market share in the Norwegian market; most recently through an acquisition in Bergen. The move significantly strengthens SR Group’s coverage in the region and supports its strategy of being a ‘one-stop-shop’ for logistics services.

Ger Engelsman CEO at Lubbers Logistics Group and Kjell Fjeldheim CEO at SR Group commented: “Despite the current market conditions, Lubbers Logistics and SR Group have consolidated its positions as leading upstream oil and gas logistics companies and the partnership. It will see both companies further strengthen the offer in Europe and we are excited for this next chapter.”
