ACE Winches showcases its engineering excellence at Aberdeen’s Offshore EuropeLeading global deck machinery specialist, ACE Winches, will be exhibiting at Offshore Europe in Aberdeen this year with a stand showcasing its extensive range of manufactured products and service offering, including equipment hire, bespoke solution design, project management, installation, decommissioning and offshore operations.
The Aberdeenshire-based company provides clients with a comprehensive range of specialist services, support and deck machinery equipment to the energy industry working offshore, subsea and onshore.
ACE Winches is a complete solution provider, serving industry market sectors including intervention, work over control systems, FPSO mooring systems and total back deck solutions for marine construction and SURF contracting vessels. During 2015 ACE Winches delivered into its Hire Business Division unit a number of new products including 200 and 400 tonne Reel Drive Systems and a 60 tonne 4-track tensioner for pipelay operations. The Company’s Norwegian Business ACE Norge AS based in Karmsund has been complemented with the manufacture and delivery of 100 tonne and 200 tonne linear winches, which are now all available for hire. ACE Winches designed, engineered, manufactured and commissioned a 200 tonne twin chain winch package - one of the world’s largest chain winches manufactured to date.
The ACE business will be highlighting its commitment to this year’s conference theme of ‘Inspiring the next generation’. The ACE Winch Academy, established in 2010, has provided training to clients on all aspects of winch technology, specialist electronic control systems, winch design, operation and risk review of specialist lifting applications and solutions. The Academy delivers a wide range of internal and external training including apprenticeship programmes and competence management systems.
